CASE HISTORY for Style #293

Material: 316L Stainless Steel
Machine Type: Vertical CNC Mill
Lubrication Type: 200 PSI Soluble oil through the hole
Tool Diameter: .2165"
Hole Depth: 1.1"
SFM: 135 (2382 RPM)
IPM: 5.5 without pecking
Spot: Yes 140°
Tool life per Regrind: 180" (165 holes)

Prior Process: Former tool life on cobalt H.S.S. was 15 holes running 55 SFM x 1.75 IPM.

Results: With CJT S.C. Kooltwist customer is able to machine the holes (55 holes) in the part in 20 minutes versus 60 minutes with cobalt. In addition the CJT process eliminates 15 minutes of manual hole deburring per part. Total savings 55 minutes per part.
